On 18 November 2019, in Berlin Germany, JA Macedonia CEO participated at the Annual General Meeting together with Member Organisation Chairs, CEOs and JA Europe Board Members where the Management and Financial report have been presented and new Chair and Vice-Chair of CEOs introduced to the network.

In organization of JA Worldwide, from 19 to 22 November 2019, JA Macedonia had unique opportunity to participate at the Global Leadership Conference. The Conference represented a place to gather like-minded, passionate 250 JA colleagues from 75 countries, who are committed to preparing young people for employment and entrepreneurship.

The conference hosted a mix of keynote speakers, panel discussions, small-group workshops, and best-practice sharing in fundraising, marketing, programs, operations, and more.

Opening Day featured regional meetings for JA Europe and INJAZ Al-Arab JA MENA, while the rest of the attendees perused the Centennial History Area.

Day Two started with the opening and flag ceremonies, and a full day of Accelerating Social Transformation—a thought-provoking experience designed for professionals working in the social-development space. Near the end of Day Two, Citi Foundation hosted a session on JA Labs best practices, and then made the exciting announcement of the winning entry for Round Three of JA Labs: INJAZ Lebanon, which will produce an Arabic version of the blended JA Company Program by digitizing, localizing, and gamifying many parts of the program; making it accessible through mobile devices; and facilitating students’ experiential learning in business and management.

Day Three focused on the JA Worldwide Strategic Framework for 2020–2022, including a panel of perspectives from around the JA network.

Jewell Sparks, startup coach, entrepreneur, and CEO of BiTHOUSE Group, closed Day Three with her energy-packed keynote, “The Intersection of Individuality, Courage, and Successful Business Transformation.”

The final day of GLC brought exciting VR demonstrations throughout the day, and later in the evening, one lucky winner—Serdar Ishangulyyev of JA Turkmenistan—went home with a brand-new Oculus Quest VR headset. Cameron Sinclair talked about “A Life Worth Living” followed by Julie Carrier, a trusted authority on leadership development and confidence, who discussed “The Power of Why.” The conference ended with GLC Awards Dinner, where finalists for five awards categories were introduced.

Special thanks to the incredible work of JA Germany, JA Europe, and JA Worldwide staff, along with everyone who prepared for and participated in panels and workshops.
