The team 13 „Free wing“ had the winning business idea on the 4th Innovation camp organized by Junior Achievment Macedonia. The Innovation camp was hosted by the University of tourism and menagment Skopje on 26th of November.

Martina Naneva from SOU “Dobri Daskalov” – Kavadarci, Petar Cekovski from SOU “Kocho Racin” – Sveti Nikole, Anastasija Nakova from SUGS “Dimitar Vlahov” – Skopje, Jana Majnova from SUGS “Josip Broz Tito” – Skopje, with the help of their business mentor Ana Saltirova Davidovski (AMSM) developed and presented an idea where their hotel had a separate part which is to be designed and outfitted to serve the needs of the young. The part of the building will be soundproof to the rest of the hotel and will include a space for socializing, playing games and organizing events. Food and refreshments will be available 24/7 and the young people that are staying outside of the hotel, can purchase addmission based on their need: daily, weekly or per event ticket will be available.

The 4th Innovation camp consisted of 52 students from 13 High schools from Skopje, Kriva Palanka, Veles, Kocani, Berovo, Kavadarci, Makedonski Brod, Tetovo, Delchevo and Sveti Nikole deviden into 13 teams. Each team had business mentor who gave them support. The members of the team did not know each other before the competition, making the challenge of creating a common solution even more interesting.

The Innovation Camp is a one-day event in which students work in teams to find a solution for the given business challenge. This year’s challenge was to develop a business concept by offering innovative solution, product or service, that will improve the capacities, services and hospitality of hotels, motels versus the alternative accomodation facilities catered to the young.

The teams were judged by a 4 member jury consisting of: Mrs. Aleksandra Mitrova – Hotel Marriott Skopje, Mr. Nikola Cacanoski – GDI, Mr. Luan Imeri – Center for human rights and conflict resolution and Mr. Darko Petrovski –

The students were addresed by the Minister of Education and Science Arber Ademi, a representative from USAID Mrs. Natasa Buleska, a representative from The University of tourism and menagement Skopje, prof. Zoran Ivanovski and the Executive Director of Junior Achivment Macedonia Mrs. Ljupka Panchevska.
